What Happens On The Day

• Our reptile handler arrives 10-15 minutes early to set everything up
• The children sit together and meet the animals one at a time
• Everyone who wants to gets the chance to hold and touch them
• The handler shares the facts children love – what they eat, how they shed their skin, why the tortoise is so old
• Nervous children are never pushed; plenty of them start at the back and end up at the front

Meet The Animals

The animals are chosen on the day, so every one that comes is healthy and happy. A typical group includes:

• Two snakes – such as a corn snake or a royal python
• Two lizards – such as a bearded dragon or a blue tongue skink
• A huge tortoise
• A scorpion
• A tarantula

Sometimes you will meet a surprise guest instead: a king snake or rainbow boa, a frilled dragon or ackie monitor, or a big bullfrog if the tortoise is having a day off.

Prices

From £300 for a one-hour reptile encounter, for up to 15 children. Tell us your date and where you are, and we will confirm your price and availability.

Things To Know Before You Book

A few practical things so the day goes smoothly for the children and the animals:

Parking

The handler needs to park very close to your house or venue – right by the door.

Indoors, unless it is warm

Reptiles need to stay indoors unless it is a warm, dry day of at least 16°C.

Group size

Each encounter is for a maximum of 15 children, so everyone gets a proper turn.

Set-up time

The handler arrives 10-15 minutes before the start to get everything ready.

Which animals come

The animals are picked on the day for their welfare, so the exact line-up can change from the list above.
