– Summarise 3 interesting stories you’d like to tell about your life
1) Building Little Party Heaven – always been an entrepreneur – selling cactuses at primary school and got told off story.
2) Creating Bubbly Heaven – seeing gap in market for bubble training – online shop -which I have focussed in on during covid.
3) Health and Fitness – gave up smoking, quit alcohol and started running.
– Why do you think mindset is important?
Its everything – its going to determine your life. For example if I had listened to my anxieties about why I shouldn’t do this live video with you then I wouldn’t be here. You have to say yes and challenge yourself to grow and that can do mindset is key.
– Was there a time when you DIDN’T have a growth mindset? If yes, what one experience helped you develop a growth mindset? If no, how has that helped you through life’s ups and downs
I have always had a growth mindset however it was definitely squished and sat on during school and my previous relationship with my kids father. However being so positive and making plans and goals has definitely helped me recover and to make the right choices and changes that I needed.
– What are the top 3 things that you use to maintain a growth mindset?
1) Sometime you have to unlearn things and recognise when something or someone is no longer serving you and make those changes.
2) Have goals in your business and personal life, break it down and chip away at them.
3) Focusing on health and fitness – Junk food, alcohol and all those bad things we like to indulge in don’t help a healthy mindset. I was so unproductive 5 years ago. I was struggling even to keep the house tidy but now I don’t have those issues. Everything is easier.
– What is your definition of success?
To be able to lie in bed a night alone with your thoughts and feel content, feel accomplished and looking forward to a new day.
– If you had one secret to give about success in life, what would it be?
Just keep at it. Break a goal up into manageable chunks and chip away at it relentlessly.
– How does a growth mindset help you with your business?
Always challenging myself. Be flexible open to change adapt – have had to be during covid.
– What is your mission?
Personal – Be a good role model for my kids
Business – To expand and work on the sales of the Bubbly Heaven shop.
– What is next project?
Three peaks challenge UK. And to complete Stroud 1/2 Marathon.
– When you are 100 and look back at your life, what do you want to see?
For someone to be able to tell my story and for someone to feel inspired. Something that has always stuck by me was the vicar talking about my nan at her funeral about how brave and positive she was throughout life, she travelled and had a loving family. I felt so inspired and I was just going through a bad patch and it just injected strength into me.
